Volume, definition and structure

At Xenial Aesthetics, our experienced Registered Nurse provides personalised cosmetic aesthetic treatments following a comprehensive consultation. These treatments are designed to support facial volume and structure while enhancing your natural features with subtle, balanced results. Treatment areas may include the lips, chin, jawline, and mid-face, with every plan tailored to your individual goals and delivered in line with evidence-based clinical practice.

  • Volume, Definition & Structure treatments at Xenial Aesthetics are tailored to support facial balance and structure in selected areas of the face. During your consultation, one of our qualified healthcare professionals will assess your individual concerns, discuss your aesthetic goals, and determine whether treatment is suitable for you. A personalised treatment plan, including expected outcomes, potential risks, side effects, and aftercare, will be discussed to support informed decision-making. As with all cosmetic medical procedures, individual results and experiences may vary.

Please attend your appointment with clean skin free from makeup where possible.

If you are feeling unwell, have an active skin infection, cold sore, or have recently received dental treatment or vaccinations, please inform your treating healthcare professional prior to your appointment.

During your consultation, your healthcare professional will discuss your medical history, suitability for treatment, expected outcomes, potential risks, and aftercare instructions to support informed decision-making.

  • If you follow the required after care, the side effects you may experience will likely be limited to:

    • Mild swelling at/or around the treatment site.

    • Mild tenderness or bruising at or around the treatment site.

    • Small red dots at the treatment site.

  • Following your treatment, it is important to follow the recommended aftercare instructions to support optimal healing and reduce the risk of complications or unwanted side effects.

    After treatment, we recommend you:

    • Avoid excessive pressure, rubbing, or touching the treated area for 24–48 hours.
    • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours following treatment.
    • Avoid heat-related activities such as saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, or excessive sun exposure for 24–48 hours.
    • Avoid alcohol consumption for 24 hours after treatment.
    • Avoid facial massages or facial treatments for up to four weeks, unless otherwise advised by your healthcare professional.
    • Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for at least 24 hours.

To reduce the risk of infection, maintain good hand hygiene and avoid unnecessary contact with the treated area during the initial healing period.

If you experience any unexpected symptoms, have concerns following your treatment, or require medical advice, please contact Xenial Aesthetics or seek appropriate medical attention promptly.

We also recommend attending your follow-up review appointment approximately two weeks after treatment. This appointment allows your treating healthcare professional to assess your response to treatment, discuss your progress, and address any questions or concerns you may have.

FAQ

  • No. Your safety is our main concern and for this reason, we do not treat clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. We advise against all Cosmetic treatments while pregnant/breast feeding simply out of precaution and due to the lack of information available on Cosmetic Aesthetic treatment effects on the fetus/baby.

  • We recommend avoiding international travel for at least 2 weeks following your treatment. Changes in cabin pressure and the effects of prolonged air travel can contribute to unpredictable swelling or bruising, especially after certain volumising procedures.

This precaution also ensures your safety and allows adequate time to monitor and manage any potential complications under the care of your treating practitioner.

  • If you're feeling unwell (cold, flu, infection, etc.), please reschedule your appointment. Being unwell may increase the risk of complications, your body needs to be in a healthy state for optimal healing and safety.
