Frequently asked questions.

How much does wrinkle-reducing treatment cost?

Unfortunately, there is no set price. Treatment works on a sliding scale and is completely dependent on each individual face. This will ensure the treatment is 100% tailored to the individual. A quote is provided during the facial assessment.

What is a 2-week review?

Following treatment, a 2-week review is required to ensure that the treatment is working as intended. If you are satisfied with the treatment, we will schedule your follow-up appointment in 3-4 months. If improvements are still required, we are available to make them on the spot. Any additional product will be charged.

Can I wear make-up to my appointment?

It is important to come to your appointment with clean skin. Clean skin helps reduce the risk of infection.

What should I do before my treatment?

Avoid vigorous activity, alcohol or Ibuprofen for 24 hours prior to your treatment as they can increase the risk of bruising.

Is aftercare really important?

Yes. It is essential to follow the aftercare provided to you after any cosmetic procedure, no matter how small. The procedures are still medical procedures that use prescribed products and have serious risks associated. Please always follow the advice given to you.

Can I have cosmetics treatments whilst pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. Your safety is the priority and for this reason,  all cosmetic treatments whilst pregnant are not advised. Due to a lack of available research, the effects of cosmetic treatments on the fetus are unknown.

What brand of products do you use?

Due to TGA restrictions, Brand names of prescription medications can not be published. During your consultation, product name and pricing will be discussed in detail. Product information brochures are provided during the consultation.

Can I have treatments if I am sick or on antibiotics?

No. Whilst your body is trying to fight off an infection (even a common cold) you should never introduce another foreign substance of any kind. This can flare up your immune system resulting in adverse side effects. Rather wait till you are better.

What is a vascular occlusion?

A rare but serious complication may occur if the filler blocks a blood vessel. This can cause a lack of blood flow to the areas “downstream” from the blockage. Consequences of this can include skin discolouration, skin necrosis and tissue death. In a few cases worldwide, the blood vessels affecting the eye have been affected, causing blindness. The good news is hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved elevating the blockage and restoring blood flow.

Vaccines

It is recommended to not have cosmetic injectables within 2weeks before or after a vaccine.
