Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Wrinkles and fine lines are a natural part of the ageing process. As we age, the skin gradually produces less collagen and elastin, while becoming thinner and drier over time. These changes can reduce the skin’s firmness, elasticity, and ability to recover from repeated movement and environmental exposure.
Facial expressions and repeated muscle movement also contribute to the development of lines and wrinkles. These are often referred to as “dynamic lines,” as they are more noticeable during facial movement such as smiling, frowning, or squinting.
Over time, repeated movement and natural skin ageing may cause these lines to become more visible at rest, resulting in what are commonly described as “static lines.”
-
Frown lines
A frown is a facial expression that often indicates disapproval or displeasure. It can also be done subconsciously when one is concentrating. Over time, repeated frowning can naturally lead to static lines forming between your eyebrows.
Forehead lines
These are lines that stretch across the forehead when the eyebrows are lifted.
Crow’s feet
These lines often form on the outer corners of the eyes as a result of facial expressions like smiling or squinting. Over time, they can lead to static lines forming over the corner of the eyes.
